Initiatives
MDC follows a standard project management process from ideation through completion. What is unique to MDC is combining this structured process with objective, measurable, unbiased decisioning criteria to prioritize our projects.

Concepts are scored using a weighted prioritization grid which reflects criteria such as member need, strategic value, competition, risk, regulation, and Board and Owner opinion. The output then demonstrates how project concepts score against each other. This prioritization grid is designed to be updated as projects progress so new information can be reflected as it is learned.

MDC typically has 5-8 active projects at one time, depending on the scope of each effort. Smaller initiatives, such as writing white papers, don't require nearly the time and knowledge that spinning off a new company does. Additionally, MDC works with a variety of top consulting firms to augment project staff as required.

By using a defined process, MDC keeps projects moving through execution to completion. By using objective decisioning criteria, MDC makes well informed, unbiased business decisions when selecting our projects.
The ultimate outcome is better results.
